On August 19, there were 24 trademark filings with the USPTO for new trademarks by Tennessee businesses.
Here’s how those trademark filings are split among some of the towns and cities in Tennessee:
- Nashville – 11 new trademark filings
- Memphis – 4 new trademark filings
- Knoxville – 2 new trademark filings
- Kingsport – 1 new trademark filing
- Antioch – 1 new trademark filing
- Arlington – 1 new trademark filing
- Chattanooga – 1 new trademark filing
- Sevierville – 1 new trademark filing
- Henning – 1 new trademark filing
- Franklin – 1 new trademark filing
My favorite trademark filing of the day goes to “SHE’S GOT BAGGAGE.”
This filing is in International Class 39. The goods or services associated with this trademark are “pick up, delivery and storage of personal property.”
I checked out the website for shesgotbaggagenashville.com. It’s really quite interesting and my hat’s off to the entrepreneur-owner of this business. It appears from the artwork on the website to cater to visitors to Nashville who want to have someone hang on to their luggage while they check out all the great attractions of Music City. Think groups of bachelorette parties or folks here to enjoy the sports or music venues of Nashville.
Congratulations to all of the Tennessee businesses that have taken the big (and important) step of filing for federal trademark protection!
