Thanks for reading DPS Legal Counsel’s Daily Tennessee Trademark Report for Saturday, July 10, 2021.

All of the following information was obtained by a search of the USPTO’s TESS database.

So far in July, there have been 70 trademarks filed with the USPTO by Tennessee businesses.

Per the USPTO’s TESS database, the most recent date for which there were trademark applications filed in Tennessee and entered into the TESS database was Tuesday, July 6, 2021.

On Tuesday, July 6, there were 11 trademark applications filed with the USPTO by Tennessee businesses.

Of these 11 trademark applications, 1 was from a business in Franklin, Tennessee; 1 was from a business in Collierville, Tennessee; 1 was from a business in Nashville, Tennessee; 1 was from a business in Chattanooga, Tennessee; 1 was from a business in Brownsville, Tennessee; and 5 were from businesses in Memphis.

My favorite trademark filing of the day was by Highpoint Church in Memphis, Tennessee, for a design mark consisting of the wording “THE HUB” inside the center of shaded circle. This application is for a trademark in Class 43, for coffee shops. The trademark application indicates that the mark has been in use since September 1, 2017.

Here’s a link to The Hub’s menu: https://www.thehubcoffee.org/menu

I think I’ll try the Chai Latte the next time I’m in Memphis.

Congratulations to all the Tennessee businesses that have filed trademarks with the USPTO!
