The most recent day showing trademark applications by Tennessee businesses on the USPTO TESS database is Wednesday, August 25.
On that date, there were 16 trademark applications by Tennessee businesses. Nashville had the most of these with a total of 4 trademark applications. One of those was for the trademark “DONUT DISTILLERY,” which is my favorite trademark filing of the day. I’ll talk about it in a bit.
There were also 3 trademark applications from Memphis, 2 from Chattanooga, and 1 each from Bristol, Knoxville, Brentwood, Antioch, Sevierville, and Oakdale.
Now, let me get back to the DONUT DISTILLERY trademark application. This was a trademark application in International Class 43 for “doughnut shops in the nature of a restaurant.” The applicant is Donut Distillery, LLC. I checked out their website, donutdistillery.com, and it is a great (and mouth watering) website. The donut restaurant, which features custom mini donuts, custom mini donut cakes, donut milkshakes, coffee, craft beer, and wine and spirits, looks to be a really great place to try out. It’s located at 311 Gallatin Avenue in East Nashville. It is now on my list to visit soon!
As always, I salute all the small business owners and entrepreneurs who make the Tennessee business community so vibrant. Way to go!
