This morning’s search of the USPTO TESS database shows that there were 13 trademark applications filed on July 9, 2021, by Tennessee businesses.
The most interesting of the bunch that I found from my search of TESS was a design mark described as the letters “J” and “R” arranged in the shape of a football.
The trademark applicant for this mark is Jalen Ramsey Enterprises LLC.
As almost everyone in Tennessee knows (and all sports fans, for sure), Jalen Ramsey was a standout football player at Brentwood Academy when he was in high school. He went on to play football at Florida State University and then on to the NFL, where he currently plays for the LA Rams.
This trademark application is in Class 25 for clothing, namely, shirts, t-shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies.
This trademark application is based on Section 1(b) of the Lanham Act, which means it is an “intent to use” trademark application.
I’m looking forward at some point to buying a sweatshirt with this mark on it.
I’m always excited to see Tennesseans and Tennessee businesses file new and interesting trademark applications for their entrepreneurial ventures.
