Recently, I published an eBbook entitled IRS Income Tax Audits: A Mini-Course in Avoiding, Preparing For, and Getting Through an IRS Income Tax Audit.
Initial reaction to this eBook has been great, and it has encouraged me to do something I have wanted to do for quite a while–put out a book geared to the average taxpayer that will help him at a time when he really needs it, when he is the focus of an IRS collection action.
You can’t turn on the television or surf the Internet these days without seeing ads on top of ads by companies seeking to help Americans with IRS problems. It’s no wonder, too. It seems that IRS enforcement activity is increasing in scope all the time.
Without any doubt, the IRS has a tremendous amount of power. However, information is also powerful, and I believe that when the IRS comes calling, the best defense is a well-prepared taxpayer who understands the rules, his rights, and all of his options.
I’m excited about publishing this new eBook that will enable taxpayers caught in a collection struggle with the IRS to know and understand just how best to deal with whatever IRS collection problem is confronting him.
In a step-by-step way, this new eBook will explain in simple language how to deal with the following problems:
- IRS Notice and Demand for Payment of Unpaid Taxes
- IRS Notice of the Filing of a Tax Lien
- IRS Notice of Levy
- Unfiled Tax Returns
In addition, readers will be able to compare their various tax options, including:
- Making an offer in compromise
- Requesting innocent spouse relief
- Seeking to enter into an installment agreement with the IRS
Over the next few weeks, I will be making posts on IRS collection matters, as I feel that there is an urgent need for many taxpayers to understand this topic and receive answers to their questions and concerns.
As always, the goal of this blog is to strive to make taxes “ABC simple” and to tame the IRS T.Rex one day and one informed taxpayer at a time.
If you have particular topics that you would like to see addressed, either on this blog or in the soon-to-be released eBook, please let me know.
Thanks.
